Responsibilities

You will respond to service calls to assess and restore the performance of installed systems and equipment, both during installation and in post-installation operational phases
You will participate in equipment installation, trial runs, testing, repairs, and overhauls of both parcel and postal logistics systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards
You will assist in training customers on the operation, care, and preventive maintenance of installed equipment and systems
You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tools, test equipment, and installed systems, documenting all inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and failures
You will recommend modifications or improvements to enhance system functionality, reliability, and efficiency
You will support performance evaluations of installed systems based on field data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
You will identify technical issues as they occur and take appropriate, timely actions to resolve them safely and effectively
You will collaborate with project management, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure seamless project delivery and sustained system performance

Required

exposure working with Allen Bradley and Siemens family PLCs
experience working with PLC's HMI's VFD's, MCC's and electrical power distribution systems
understanding on Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, and Modbus TCP industrial control/IT networks
proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving in industrial environments
skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document technical work and interact effectively with customers
self-motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges and tasks
worked independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
willingness to travel on short notice and spend up to 50% of work time traveling, including extended periods away from home
availability to work during off-hours, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts
minimum of 2 years' experience troubleshooting electromechanical and/or mechanical equipment

Preferred

trade school certification or associate's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology
Bachelor's degree in engineering
some experience in automated material handling systems
