Supervisory Supply Chain Security Specialist (Trade)

Responsibilities
Serving as a Supervisory Supply Chain Security Specialist (SCSS) for the C-TPAT program and provides supervision and guidance to subordinates engaged in administrative and technical support work
Providing guidance, training and direction on C-TPAT objectives, goals, and policies, oversees the evaluations of C-TPAT trade partners' supply chain security and resolves complaints or issues between trade partners and C-TPAT team members
Supervising a team of subordinates and performs a full range of supervisory functions
Implementing C-TPAT policies and procedures and ensures laws, regulations, security measures, and C-TPAT guidelines are adhered to
Serving as a CBP representative in a wide variety of domestic and international forums and interacts with internal and external stakeholders, Congressional representatives and Federal, state and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies

Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years

Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 11/21/2025
Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet the requirement of 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: providing operational data through a security validation process of public trade entities associated with the program; detecting and preventing terrorists, instruments of terror, prohibited goods, and stowaways, from entering the United States; developing and implementing CBP policies and procedures; analyzing and resolving difficult national security issues impacting international trade and commerce; overseeing the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of work
