The Weld Engineer will oversee engineering projects, lead plant welding projects, and ensure the support of production processes while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
Leads all plant welding projects e.g. new tooling developments according to welding requirements and customer specifications
Analyzes customer part drawings for welding requirements
Plans, coordinates and monitors production of prototypes
Coordinates and defines standard welding accessories
Further develops welding standards and best practices
Monitors weld quality and supports production in troubleshooting weld issues applying root cause analysis tools and methodologies
Drives continuous improvement activities and initiatives
Acts as primary training source for welding support personnel
Maintains reporting documents for welding operations in the plant while adhering to global/regional standards
Enforces and follows safety procedures, being attentive to unsafe behaviors or conditions, and taking necessary corrective actions
Provides support to all activities assigned by the Engineering Manager
Qualification
Required
Oversight of engineering projects and support of line developments, ensures support of production processes
