Process Engineering Manager

Responsibilities
Accountable for all processes, policies and procedures related to machine process
Define and document expectations related to Good Engineering Practice and Project Execution Methodology while tracking project execution for targeted projects and report performance metrics
Develop strategic Long-Range Planning (LRP) related to capacity, pipeline technology assessment, facility asset utilization, and capital investments
Accountable for the daily supervision of process/project engineers, engineering technicians, as applicable
Mentor engineering staff and serve as a project technical leader
Identifies line of business needs and drives continuous improvement adoption with speed and urgency
Offers regular updates on project progress and performs analyses of results and data using statistical tools with oversight from other team members
Evaluates potential projects with oversight from other team members against selection criteria, reviews project activities for progress and roadblocks, conducts tollgate reviews, and works with stakeholders and others to remove roadblocks to success
Communicate progress, status, and issues to all stakeholders
Interfaces regularly with business unit managers to define project direction and system change priorities
Lead and/or direct engineering resources in the development and improvement of processes and equipment
Achieve low cost manufacturing, superior quality/service and improved capability/capacity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR BS in another technical field
8-10 years of manufacturing experience including at least 5 in production operations and 2 years as a 2nd level supervisor
2 years of experience in project management
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in equipment engineering, design, and/or maintenance
In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Project management experience
Budget management experience
Knowledge of manufacturing accounting and control
Knowledge of manufacturing excellence tools (AME, KT, Lean)
Preferred
Advanced degree in engineering or business a plus
Experience in new product development a plus
Demonstrated track record of engineering / technical accomplishment such as delivery of sustainable incremental improvement, step change in capability / performance, etc
Demonstrated track record (Performance Results and People Development)
Experience in solar module or wafer manufacturing strongly desired
Experience in glass manufacturing
Experience in manufacturing in clean environments
