The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University is seeking Undergraduate and Graduate Student Co-ops to join their Navigation Research and Development Division. The role involves supporting laboratory operations, developing and testing navigation systems, and working on projects related to hardware and software interfacing.

Responsibilities

Support laboratory operations related to the development, testing, and evaluation of navigation systems
Work with a cooperative team of scientists and engineers responsible for a mix of hands on work, entry level electrical/mechanical design and software and/or firmware development
Work on several projects such as designing and building hardware to interface with state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation, programming software to interface with this equipment, software for logging/processing test data, test fixture design, performing tests and analyzing data
Learn or strengthen practical skills such as C++/C#/Python/MATLAB programming, drafting electrical schematics, solid modeling, hardware interfacing, and electrical fabrication

Required

Undergraduate or Graduate Student status
Availability to work at the Warminster facility for a six month time period
U.S. citizenship
