Responsibilities

Engage in coastal research related to hydrodynamics, sediment transport, morphodynamics, and testing of new scientific methods
Investigate satellite imagery data sources and develop methods for deriving water depths and product bathymetry products
Investigate accuracy of estimates
Develop skills by testing and developing code bases, conducting data analysis, producing products and document findings
Join a diverse team to research applied research problems, receiving mentoring from experienced scientists, and gain knowledge with coding languages, algorithm development, and data analysis

Required

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in a related scientific field
Knowledge with satellite-based remote sensing data, satellite-derived bathymetry inversions, data processing, and programming languages (including both MATLAB and Python)
Candidate should be motivated to learn new skills and research independently and as part of a team
Background knowledge in coastal hydrodynamic and morphodynamic processes
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen Only
Degree: Master's Degree received within the last 60 months or currently pursuing
Discipline(s): Earth and Geosciences, Engineering, Environmental and Marine Sciences
Age: Must be 18 years of age
