Responsibilities

Quality Assurance liaison to the production facility
Development, revision and implementation of forms/SOPs to maintain the quality systems and programs to support Business Unit
Attend Daily Operational Reviews (DORs) for applicable business unit
Participant in product/process improvement and packaging material change projects
Write protocols, assist and support in all validation activities within the business unit
Support and act as Quality liaison for corporate projects within business unit
Assist in Quality Compliance Audits and work with external certification and regulatory parties as required such as USDA, FDA, Kosher, Halal and Organic programs
Develop, provide and facilitate Quality Training modules
Batch record and CCP reviews
Act as resource for business unit for In-Line Quality verifications and training
Quality liaison from business unit to material supplier as applicable
Back up for SSOP, Pre-Op and other inspections as needed
Lead team review for root cause analysis (Go See Think Do) for hold problem products and other quality compliance incidents
Factory Food Safety Team member with HACCP/QMS review lead
Perform annual verification activities, including CIP and CCP/OPRP
Act as business unit contact and liaison to NGMP champion regarding 5S, Visual standards and TPM standards. Support NCE continuous improvement in Business Unit and liaison to Quality requirements for functional assessments and Key Guiding and Basic Manufacturing Practices/Principles

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related technical field required
Minimum of three to five years of related Quality experience in a manufacturing environment, food or beverage industry preferred
Superior written and oral communication and planning skills are required
Proficiency with PCs and software such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Mini Tab, Visio
Capable of coordinating multiple tasks efficiently and effectively, understanding and setting priorities, working under minimal supervision and establishing credible working relationships with peers and senior management
Ability to work independently and translate technical/quality/compliance theory into practical application
Manage projects and deliverables from start to finish with minimal supervision
Working knowledge of production process and equipment
Effectively interact with management, department members and document / data stakeholders
Highly develop team and proactive coordination skills
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of regulatory standards including GMP
