Responsibilities

Provide hands-on testing for plumbing consumer products

Design and construct testing equipment used to analyze life-of-product, reliability and functionality

Develop testing processes and procedures used to qualify products at both design and manufacturing stages of life

Support field issue investigation, evaluate product, and provide documentation of findings

Ensure accurate documentation, record and archive measurement data pertaining to product parameters and process control performance

Participate in the creation of product validation test plans and product compliance certification

Manage preventative maintenance (PM) and equipment calibration schedules

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university

1-3 years of job experience as a Test Engineer

Demonstrated knowledge of consumer products testing and validation

Experience with developing procedures and test instructions with an emphasis on repeatability and reproducibility. Understands design of experiment (DOE) process

High level of analytical reasoning, problem solving and process improvement techniques

Strong mechanical aptitude combined with previous hands-on test experience

Experience working with electrical/mechanical test benches (automated life cycle stations, impact/destructive testing, hydro flow benches)

Ability to work in a cross-functional department environment

Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

Preferred

Experience working with mechanical & electronic security hardware, plumbing hardware and commercial hardware is a plus

Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) a plus

Familiarity with ANSI/ASME, UL, and IAPMO standards is a plus
