Responsibilities

Provide deep technical knowledge about the company's products and services, demonstrating their capabilities and benefits to potential customers
Drive the specification process for Southwire's current and emerging markets
Identify customer technical pain points during the life cycle and translate them into new engineering requirements
Identify and drive specification differentiation between Southwire and its competitors
Lead/guide complex technical conversations around Southwire's new products and services
Interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, which include system accessories, to provide the best-in-class solutions
Develop and launch novel service solutions that meet customer needs, while considering factors like cost, value-ad, feasibility, and scalability
Promote Southwire’s brand through videos, whitepapers, webinars, customer presentations and serving as a thought leader in industry
Lead codes and standards development activities and drive specification through the adoption of new requirements

Required

Bachelor's Degree

Field(s) Of Expertise: Engineering: application support and/or product engineering experience in the wire and cable, power, utility, manufacturing, or electrical industry
Product engineering: Design, development, launch and commercialization

Preferred

Master's Degree
Specialized Degree: Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
12-14 Years of Experience
Field(s) Of Expertise: Extensive field experience in residential, commercial, telecom, or utility product installation
Preferred Licenses And Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), CAD, Revit (BIM), Project Management; Proficient in Codes & Standards: NEC, ASTM, UL, CSA, IEEE, ICEA, NEMA
