Responsibilities
Applies the principles of systems engineering, science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems
Performs a variety of engineering tasks that are broad in nature and are concerned with system design and implementation
Plans and performs engineering research, design, development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications
Makes recommendations and advises on system design, development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts
Evaluates overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability, security, and safety
Performs problem definition, analysis, requirement development and implementation for complex systems in the engineering discipline required to meet technical requirements
Defines and interprets high level organizational engineering performance requirements and objectives and develops approaches to their achievement
Performs abstract or concept studies and analysis, requirements definition, preliminary planning, the evaluation of alternative technical approaches, and provides associated costs for the development or enhancement of high-level general performance specifications of a system, project, mission, or activity
Supports customers in the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategy, doctrine, standards, policies, and procedures
Qualification
Required
Must have active DoD TOP SECRET with SCI clearance or TOP SECRET with ability to get SCI clearance
Master's Degree in technical discipline and 12+ years of related experience
Posess domain and expert technical knowledge and extensive experience in the development of solutions, recommendations, or outcomes
Strong decision making skills regarding critical impacts on project implementation
Project management skills to establish goals and plans for meeting objectives
Technical and management leadership experience in directing the activities of others on the project
