The Director of Engineering will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of regional electrical/building-systems engineering, setting technical direction, and managing budgets and talent in the region.

Responsibilities

Lead regional engineering operations across multiple Data Center projects
Define technical vision, ensure design quality, and drive innovation for electrical/MEP systems
Recruit, train, deploy and develop engineering staff; manage resource planning
Own regional engineering budget, fee development, and staffing models
Direct preliminary engineering, complex sequences of operations, testing/commissioning scripts and QA/QC
Support preconstruction, estimating and BD; present and secure work with clients
Act as escalation point for dispute resolution, sensitive negotiations, and field troubleshooting
Conduct site visits, feasibility studies and value-engineering reviews as required

Required

B.S. in Electrical Engineering
12+ years' related Data Center experience (combination of education/training possible)
Active U.S. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Minimum ~5 years in progressive leadership/management roles
Deep expertise in building systems, electrical design, testing and commissioning
Strong skills in staff development, budgeting, fee development and client management
Excellent written/oral communication and ability to operate with limited direction
Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with design/modeling tools and Oracle a plus
