Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives for technology portfolio procurement
Negotiate complex, high-value contracts and agreements with strategic vendors
Identify and execute vendor consolidation opportunities to optimize the technology portfolio
Provide strategic guidance to functional partners on procurement decisions, balancing new features, seat/usage expansion, and rip-n-replace considerations & initiatives
Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring performance and compliance with contracts
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in technology space and how that may impact sourcing decisions
Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives
Monitor and report on key sourcing metrics and performance indicators
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Legal, Security, and Finance to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with business needs
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations for Verkada’s global scale
Qualification
Required
5+ years of proven experience in strategic sourcing, technology procurement, and vendor management
Strong negotiation skills and experience in negotiating complex contracts
Ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and value optimization
Excellent communication, prioritization and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide strategic guidance to functional partners on procurement decisions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of procurement policies and regulations
Experience with vendor consolidation and technology portfolio optimization
