Responsibilities

Lead a group of talented engineers, guiding their growth while managing budgets and balancing team performance with strategic expansion

Perform calculations, interpreting utility records, and applying engineering principles to real-world challenges

Collaborate closely with clients, both existing and prospective, helping to build strong relationships and expand our impact

Mentor junior engineers, oversee project execution, and contribute to business development

Ensure deliverables meet specifications, identify risks, and communicate clearly with stakeholders

Perform system analyses, review work for quality, and support proposal development

Required

Bachelor's degree with concentration in power systems engineering and equivalent experience developed through detailed analysis of power systems

Previous supervisory experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in wide-area power system modeling, analysis, and planning, including power flow, transient stability, and short circuit studies for interconnections on the transmission system

Proficient with power system modeling and analysis tools including, at a minimum, Siemens PTI PSS®E Steady State Power Flow and Dynamics as well as PowerGem TARA

Highly experienced with rules, tariffs, guidelines, and processes of system operators (ISOs/RTOs) and studies of interconnections and transmission service

Able to travel up to 10% of the time to support client and sales initiatives

Preferred

Experience with PSCAD software is a plus

Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred
