Sheet Metal Fabricator

Production Systems Automation is seeking a Metal Fabricator to contribute to manufacturing and construction projects that require precision and craftsmanship. The role involves transforming raw materials into high-quality metal components, ensuring they meet strict specifications and safety standards while supporting various industries.

Responsibilities

Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, shop drawings and CAD files and suggest or make corrections as needed
Fabricate, assemble, and install a wide range of sheet metal components (stainless, aluminum, galvanized, copper, polycarbonate, etc.)
Operate manual fabricating equipment (shears, down acting press brakes along with up acting press brakes, rollers, punches)
Perform high precision MIG and TIG welding
Inspect finished product for quality, accuracy and conformance to specifications
Maintain equipment, tools, and work area
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project success
Must have master-level knowledge of sheet metal layout and forming techniques
Strong attention to detail and must be able to hold dimensional accuracy and fit
Understanding of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, squares)
Must have a knowledge of tolerances and quality assurance standards
Able to grind, deburr and finish metal surfaces
Knowledge of metal types, gauges, and properties (same materials listed above)
