Responsibilities

Maintain and update existing tools and processes for steel machining
Support engineers in identifying and implementing cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
Support multiple steel machining departments in daily functions
Produce a variety of correspondence and reports in support of department processes
Learn SAP business software to maintain and update part process and gaging instructions

Required

Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Pursuing a 4-year degree in engineering, technology, or computer science (others may apply)
Able to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year and 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester
Experience using Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical problems
Demonstrated ability to write professionally
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Graduation date of 12/27 or later
GPA 2.8 or higher

Preferred

Experience with CAD software
Experience in machining materials (metal, wood, plastic, other)
Experience leading/supporting cross functional teams for projects
Experience using AI
Experience using Power BI or similar software
