Responsibilities
Review and validate defects reported by QA testers or users
Analyze defect details to confirm reproducibility and impact
Clearly document defect steps, expected vs actual results, and screenshots/logs
Assign and categorize defects based on severity and priority
Communicate with developers to clarify issues and support root cause analysis
Track defect status throughout the lifecycle until closure
Prepare defect reports or summaries for meetings and stakeholders
Help identify patterns or recurring issues to improve software quality
Usage of Power BI for analysis and reporting
Qualification
Required
Power BI, Jira, SQL, Testing and Validation Processes, Workflow Optimization
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and documentation ability
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.)
Understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC
Attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
7+ years of experience for the QA team
BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Preferred
Experience in the utilities industry
Thorough knowledge in testing processes end to end
Performing functional and performance testing
Collaborating with teams to optimize workflows and system performance
