Responsibilities

Engineering plans, calculations, and reports quality control review
Lead project engineering and design on projects
Represent Dewberry and projects with city, county, state, and federal agencies
Project work will span utility- storm drain, sanitary sewer, water, and conduits- design, plans and profiles, stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design, maintenance of traffic, layout, grading and earthwork, cost estimating, plan and permit processing, and technical writing
Assists with scope and fee determinations for proposed engineering services
Assists with preparation of weekly schedules and task coordination
Assists with training/mentoring of staff
Coordinates design review process and permitting through outside agencies and assistance with client coordination

Required

BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (design-based degree)
12+ years of experience in design and construction of site/civil, land development and infrastructure projects; experience in Wilmington, Baltimore and Washington DC corridor is preferred
Professional Engineer in the State of Maryland, or ability obtain in 6 months, with Washington, DC and Delaware desired
Highly proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and Microsoft office applications – Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Excellent understanding and use of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software
Strong written, oral, and graphic communication skills required for effective interface with public agencies, clients, sub-consultants, and staff
