Responsibilities
Monitoring daily construction activities to ensure fiber placement (aerial, buried, underground) follows engineering prints and customer specifications
Verifying cable sequential numbers, handhole/pedestal installation accuracy, and documenting GPS coordinates and as-built data
Preparing and submitting daily reports and project documentation
Resolving design and staking sheet problems that arise during construction and, when necessary, interpreting company guidelines for specific applications
Communicating with landowners, permitting agencies, and internal departments as needed
Supporting schedule coordination, workflow monitoring, and cost tracking efforts
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience in telecommunications inspection, construction, and/or engineering
Ability to read and interpret staking sheets and construction prints
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and basic computer proficiency
Physically ability to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain; capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing
Must be willing to travel and work overtime as required. A reliable vehicle is required
Must be a current resident of the island of Maui
Preferred
Experience with RUS telecommunications inspection is preferred
