They are seeking a PR & Communications Strategist to lead the development and execution of communication strategies that enhance their brand and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Draft press releases, media kits, and pitch stories to secure coverage
Create engaging content for newsletters, blogs, social media, and other platforms that reflect NCUS’s mission and impact
Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all communication channels
Oversee social media presence, monitor analytics, and optimize campaigns for engagement and reach
Coordinate communication efforts for events, including press coverage, promotional materials, and post-event reporting
Develop and execute plans to manage sensitive issues and protect organizational reputation

Required

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
3–5 years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing strategy
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Proven ability to manage media relations and secure press coverage
Experience with social media management and digital marketing tools
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Passion for community development and social impact

Preferred

Graphic design and multimedia content creation
Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms
Knowledge of urban community issues and workforce development
