Business Development Manager, Professional Services
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is a global leader in measurement technologies and industrial intelligence. They are seeking a Business Development Manager for Professional Services, a senior role focused on driving new business growth and expanding market presence across North America, requiring collaboration with various teams to identify and close opportunities.

Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for professional services, focusing on both new and existing accounts
Develop and execute strategies and detailed business plans to expand market share and drive revenue growth
Serve as an overlay resource to the core sales team, providing expertise in professional services offerings, value propositions, and solution design
Support sales cycles with presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Act as a consultant to understand client needs, pain points, and business objectives, and translate these into tailored service solutions
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies relevant to professional services
Provide feedback to marketing and product teams to refine messaging and offerings
Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product & Industry Business Development, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development and Service delivery teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of go-to-market strategies
Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities
Track and report on sales activities, forecasts, and results using CRM and sales analytics tools
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer workshops
Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and thought leadership initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or solution consulting, with a focus on professional services in the CAE market
Proven experience in Aerospace/Defense or Automotive Industry preferably in one or more of the following areas of virtual product development: Structures, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, Fluid Dynamics, Acoustics, Materials or Autonomous Systems
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a quota-carrying overlay or specialized sales role
Deep understanding of professional services sales cycles, value-based selling, and consultative solution design
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel as needed within the US
US citizenship required; active or eligible security clearance is a plus, to enable work with US government and military clients
