Responsibilities
Perform engineering design tasks with guidance from project engineers and project managers on large, complex civil/environmental remediation projects through applications of relevant design criteria, and standards and processes of both public and private clients
Assist with a variety of field assignments including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and system Operation and Maintenance (O&M)
Perform field oversight of subcontractors
Prepare technical reports and evaluate site data to progress projects toward regulatory closure
Establish strong, productive internal collaborative relationships with senior-level staff
Participate in Kleinfelder’s safety culture
Continuously interact and learn from technical design staff
Qualification
Required
B.S. in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
1-4 years of relative experience or willingness to learn site/civil design including site grading, stormwater analysis, erosion/sediment control measures and earthworks estimation
Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills
Solid written and verbal communications skills
Willingness to travel out of state
Preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certificate
Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card within 6 months of start date
