Global Emergency Response Lead

Olin is a global leader in chemical manufacturing and ammunition, and they are seeking a Global Emergency Response Lead. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of Olin’s Global Emergency Preparedness/Emergency Response Management Systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and effective response to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Provide support to sites/facilities following significant events and during agency compliance audits or inspections including working with agency personnel to clarify and resolve interpretational issues or requests
Ensure Olin Management Systems meet regulatory requirements for Emergency Response. Harmonize and Standardize work processes for Emergency Response and Security
Routinely assess and work with site/facility EH&S and Manufacturing leadership to drive excellence in all aspects of Emergency Response: documentation, skills/training/knowledge, tools and community response
Stay current with developing or changing regulations and keep Division Leadership and EH&S Personnel informed of applicability and potential impact to Olin
Ensure sharing of learnings from audits, drills, and exercises to facilitate organizational preparedness and response to emergencies and effective application of the management systems
Crisis Leader (backup) and team member - develop drills and exercises for Olin’s Crisis Team. Support objectives outlined within the Olin Crisis Plan and actively participate in crisis management when needed

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, EH&S or related technical discipline
10+ years experience in the application of emergency response requirements in a chemical manufacturing environment
Multi-site experience required; global experience preferred
Strong analytical thinking, communication, team leadership and interpersonal skills, as well as high initiative and attention to detail
Must be able to work extended hours, weekends as needed, especially when problems occur or when deadlines must be met
Must be willing and able to travel 30-50% of the time, both domestically and internationally
Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university
