Responsibilities

Deliver Manufacturing and Quality Operating System requirements for Powertrain eMotor (Rotor/Stator)
Collaborate with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements
Use virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high volume manufacturing operations
Write/modify/maintain process sheets and deliver an entire process
Lead identification, resolution, and closure of eMotor, Assembly, Test, Controls, Ergonomics, Safety and other feasibility issues
Create and follow a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools in your subsystem
Lead assembly and other start-up activities associated with commissioning at the manufacturing site. In addition, support equipment trials at vendor facilities prior to shipment to Ford
Lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling issues, working closely with operations teams
Develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs
Support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation initiatives
Interface with cross-functional activities (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Purchasing, Facilities, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs)

Required

BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, etc)
5+ years' experience in the Automotive Manufacturing arena, preferably as a Process Engineer working with eMotor Powertrain components (Stators/Rotors)

Preferred

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to support and launch programs onsite
Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
Strong computer skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
3D CAD review abilities (Teamcenter, VisMockup, CATIA, or equivalent)
Understanding of PFMEA and failure mode avoidance principles
Strong verbal & written communication and presentation skills
Ability to operate in stressful situations within timing constraints
Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
Working knowledge of statistics (control charts, data collecting, GD&T etc.)
Knowledge in the following Ford software systems: WERS, Teamcenter, E2KS, AIMs, Ariba/Aurora
Error proofing
Ability to travel (including extended travel) to assembly and component plants in USA, Canada, and Mexico required (uncommon)
