Mechanical Natural Gas Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities
Design and analyze compressors (brownfield or greenfield), regulation, metering, pigging and valving natural gas facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements
Develop and execute project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Conduct mechanical system simulations and modeling to optimize performance and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, from initial planning through to commissioning
Knowledgeable in petroleum liquid and gas industry codes and standards published by US Department of Transportation, AGA, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, MSS, and NFPA, with the ability to apply the standards to oil and gas pipeline facility systems designs
Prepare and review technical documents, including design specifications, drawings, and reports
Monitor project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
Stay abreast of technological advancements and regulatory changes in the natural gas and renewable sectors
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all phases of project development and execution
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
15+ years of progressive experience in natural gas facilities design, construction and maintenance, with 10+ years of project management experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
Proficiency in mechanical engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synergi Gas, or similar preferred
Knowledgeable in petroleum liquid and gas industry codes and standards published by US Department of Transportation, AGA, ANSI, API, ASME, ASTM, MSS, and NFPA, with the ability to apply the standards to oil and gas pipeline facility systems designs
Solid understanding of national and international energy sector standards and regulations
Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Proficiency in mechanical engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synergi Gas, or similar
