Minuteman Security & Life Safety is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Installation Technician I to join their team. This role involves assisting with the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems, ensuring that installations meet high standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist senior technicians in installing, configuring, and testing for security systems, including alarms, cameras, and access control systems

Learn to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to security equipment

Help in the preparation and organization of installation materials and tools

Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures

Attend training sessions and workshops to build knowledge and skills in security technology

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong interest in security systems and technology

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred

Basic understanding of electronics or electrical systems is a plus

Previous experience in a related field is an advantage but not required

Relevant certifications (e.g., NICET, PSA) are a plus

Experience with specific security brands or systems is beneficial
