Quality Assurance Technician - Weekend Nights
Universal Pure is a company focused on food safety and quality assurance. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to assist in maintaining food safety system documents and ensure compliance within the facility.

Responsibilities
Provide daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure compliance to the food safety system of the facility; perform formal audit on GMPs
Ensure training of facility personnel on GMPs, Risk Preventive Controls, Hazard Analysis, pre-requisite programs, and other applicable food safety system elements as required
Collect and analyze product samples as required, as well as document information derived from analysis
Safely keep records of all facility analytical results; immediately report results discovered to be out of specification to the QA supervisor
Provide documented reports of analytical results to the QA supervisor, also responsible for tracking and reporting data trends
Inspecting raw materials coming in; assisting in investigating non-conformance and complaint about product; and provide leadership for the facility team in performing self-audits
Aid in hosting visitors to the facility, including regulatory agency representatives and customer representatives, function as main host for the facility’s third-party auditors
Ensure product is processed to company HACCP/HARPC programs
Inform Quality Assurance Management of ANY Food Safety
Implementing and managing food safety corrective actions
Possess innovative, resourceful, and proactive disposition, committed to ensuring continuous improvement of capacity and delivering quality service
Ability to prioritize and perform position responsibilities accurately and to deadline
Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
Handle any minor tasks related to the duties of the position
Qualification
Required
Computer skills including basic Microsoft Excel required

Ability to think analytically and problem solve

Ability to perform basic mental math
Ability to effectively work with others and as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Experience performing administrative work including completing and reconciling paperwork preferred
Prior quality assurance experience preferred
Prior manufacturing experience, preferably food manufacturing preferred
Knowledge and understanding of applicable FDA regulations and GMPs preferred
2 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, food manufacturing setting is preferred
