Aircraft Structures Technician III

ComAv, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Structures Technician III to ensure that aircraft maintenance work, materials, and practices conform to FAA and company standards. The role involves reading engineering drawings, modifying and repairing aircraft parts, and performing maintenance tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Modify, repair, assemble, fabricate install structural components and aircraft parts
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation and application
Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures
Repairs flight control surfaces, engine cowling, and fuel cell/tank maintenance
Overhauls mechanical assemblies including repairs and part replacements
Documents maintenance/repair per company & FAA requirements on aircraft forms, records and workbooks
Must own and be skilled in the use of structures hand tools related to the responsibilities described above
Ability to read precision measuring tools and instruments
Works with close tolerance dimensions and various types of fasteners using common hand tools, special instruments and pneudraulic tools

Required

5+ years experience in aircraft maintenance work
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Modify, repair, assemble, fabricate install structural components and aircraft parts
Working knowledge of FAA regulations, their interpretation and application
Performs approved repair operations to structures including sheet metal and other structures
Repairs flight control surfaces, engine cowling, and fuel cell/tank maintenance

Documents maintenance/repair per company & FAA requirements on aircraft forms, records and workbooks

4 Years experience with or without an A&P License
Experience on at least 2 types of aircraft
Experience on at least 2 types of engines
Requires some direction and leadership training
