Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to deliver client solutions for complex business problems

Gain experience in different industries, grow technical capabilities, and develop leadership qualities

Participate in Liftoff with Protiviti, an onboarding live-virtual experience

Attend The Intern Challenge, an experiential learning course

Work across various industries and engage in internal initiatives

Receive hands-on training in a nurturing environment and interact with leaders across the practice

Talent Managers will assign specific project experiences that support career growth, your skills, and the needs of the business

Help companies become more innovative and explore their business processes, identify and mitigate emerging risks, develop creative solutions to complex business challenges, and encourage best practices to enhance business functions

Help companies evaluate their ability to protect information assets through testing and evaluating current company processes

Focus on defining, designing, developing, testing, and deploying technical solutions that drive increased effectiveness and efficiencies in audit, risk, control, and compliance domains

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related fields)

Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship

Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (i.e. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.)

Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Ability to apply critical thinking skills and innovation to client engagements across various industries

Technical proficiency aligning to assigned capability area

Preferred

Working in teams, as well as independently

Being creative and analytical to assist in problem solving

Passionate about evaluating, synthesizing, organizing, and interpreting data and information

Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development

Desiring to learn and a receptiveness to feedback and mentoring

Drive towards obtaining professional certifications and a strong academic background

Understanding of internal audit processes, including the use of emerging technologies, understanding frameworks, and achieving audit objectives

Handling and analyzing data and information in various formats to uncover valuable insights and draw actionable conclusions

Experience with modern tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau

Entry-level proficiency of software development, best practices and methodologies

Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies (e.g., Alteryx, MS Power Platform, Python)
