Vice President, Behavioral Methodology

Responsibilities
Pioneer Research Design: Design and oversee methodologies that ensure our panels and surveys are accurate, representative, and future-proof across diverse geographies
Bridge Innovation & Execution: Collaborate intensely with Product, Technology, and Operations teams, bringing innovative data collection methods from concept to reality. Seamlessly test and deploy next-generation data collection across multiple modes
Shape the Future of Panel Measurement: Actively monitor and contribute to the evolution of measurement standards, privacy regulations, and audience behavior trends, positioning Nielsen at the forefront
Cultivate Excellence: Build and nurture a research team, instilling a shared passion for intellectual curiosity, methodological rigor, and tangible business impact
Optimize for Impact: Strategically evaluate investments across various cost components, ensuring optimal balance between measurement precision and cost efficiency
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience leading research, data collection, or consumer insights functions with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role. People management experience is a must
Deep expertise in research design, sampling methodology, survey and panel development, including in measuring hard-to-reach populations
Demonstrated ability to translate complex research findings into business strategies that drive measurable results
Advanced skills in data visualization, statistical analysis, and research platforms (e.g., SPSS, R, Tableau, SQL)
Executive-level communication skills with experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership with clarity and authority
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Behavioral Science, Statistics, Media Studies, Marketing Research, or related field
Preferred
Hands-on experience with cross-platform measurement systems and methodologies
Familiarity with international measurement protocols and multicultural media consumption patterns
Strong understanding of media measurement tools, behavioral analytics platforms, and audience segmentation techniques
Knowledge of emerging technologies in audience measurement, including passive data collection and cross-platform tracking
