The Solar Project Manager is responsible for managing the full life cycle of commercial and industrial solar installations, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout while ensuring safety and quality delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage detailed project schedules (Gantt charts), budgets, and work scopes

Plan and coordinate electrical shutdowns and crane lift activities, ensuring safety, timing, and communication are optimized

Monitor project progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met

Maintain accurate job costing records using FSG systems (COINS, Job Intelligence)

Write and issue purchase orders for equipment, services, and subcontractors

Create and submit invoices to customers aligned with project milestone completions

Track and approve vendor and contractor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments

Maintain financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle and proactively resolve discrepancies

Coordinate with internal crews, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors to ensure successful field execution

Conduct regular site visits to verify progress, quality, and safety

Uphold and enforce strict safety standards to ensure all work is OSHA-compliant

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle

Prepare and publish regular customer reports with updates on progress, risks, and budget

Ensure customer satisfaction through transparent communication and proactive problem-solving

Manage all project documentation including permits, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and closeout packages

Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations
