Post-Undergraduate (Year-Round) Intern - Analytical Chemistry - Biomass Analysis
National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) is a primary laboratory for energy systems research and development. They are seeking a motivated post-undergraduate intern to contribute to a laboratory-scale project focused on rapid lignocellulosic biomass conversion, providing hands-on experience from project initiation to completion.

Responsibilities
Design and perform laboratory experiments
Operate analytical and laboratory instruments
Manage a project timeline with defined benchmarks and milestones
Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting experimental data
Presenting experimental results to external clients
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average
Undergraduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution
Post Undergraduate: Earned a bachelor's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year
Graduate: Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a master's degree program from an accredited institution
Post Graduate: Earned a master's degree within the past 12 months. Eligible for an internship period of up to one year
Graduate + PhD: Completed master's degree and enrolled as PhD student from an accredited institution
Completion of an undergraduate degree chemistry, biochemistry, physics, or related field
Successful candidates will have some experience in instrumental analysis
Demonstrate significant attention to detail
Clear record keeping skills with special attention to data traceability
Strong communications skills
