Responsibilities

Promote engineering best practices and instill a team culture built on curiosity and collaboration

Manage, mentor, and grow engineers on the team, helping them advance their skillsets and careers

Collaborate with product management and other engineering teams to build and deploy iterative solutions

Help the team maintain focus on current priorities and commitments while promoting the core values of Agile software development

Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive department-wide objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of Engineering work experience

5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or Architect, with a track record of success as a Manager leading and mentoring technical teams

Strong proficiency in Java and familiarity with Go

Hands-on experience with gRPC and Event-Driven Architecture frameworks and distributed caching such as Apache Ignite or Hazelcast

Deep understanding of modern design and architectural patterns for distributed systems

Proven ability to apply Agile methodologies to enhance customer experience and optimize engineering productivity

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
