Fleet Support Engineer
Sigma Software Vertex is focused on enhancing operational uptime for their fleet. The Fleet Support Engineer will be responsible for real-time support, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure vehicle performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for sensor-related fleet issues
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to identify and resolve fleet issues
Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, incorporating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions
Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components (LiDAR, radar, cameras, etc.)
Design and implement diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes, with a focus on sensor calibration and data integrity
Historical review of vehicle/fleet data, including sensor data, identifying trends and issues
Collaborate with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and improve issue detection capabilities
Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues
Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions
Engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability
Availability for overtime as needed, with advanced notice provided
Willingness to travel occasionally within the U.S. to support various operational locations
Qualification
Required
Technical expertise in fleet operations and sensor technologies
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Strong documentation skills for troubleshooting processes
Experience in conducting root cause analysis
Proficiency in developing and maintaining troubleshooting guides
Experience with hardware bring-up and validation procedures for sensor components
Ability to design and implement diagnostic procedures
Experience in historical review of vehicle/fleet data
Ability to collaborate with engineering design teams
Experience in developing and implementing countermeasures for fleet issues
Ability to define and capture essential data points for issue resolution
Willingness to engage in cross-functional collaboration for continuous improvement
