Metropolitan Transportation Authority is seeking an Operations Support Associate, Emerging Talent Intern to support their Subways Operations Support department. The intern will be responsible for analyzing operations and financial data, developing data-backed solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve training management tools.

Responsibilities

Bring a passion for addressing the challenges of a complex system

Analyze operations, workforce, and/or financial data

Develop data-backed solutions to department challenges

Collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Develop presentations of their work

Be resourceful and solution-oriented

Support team members with the specialized programming and/or sophisticated analytics skills

Conduct research and/or collect comparative data

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a must

The candidate should possess organizational, analytical and communication skills

Detail-oriented with exceptional time management skills

Excellent quantitative analytical skills

Proficiency in SQL

Matriculated in a graduate program in good standing with at least 2.8 GPA

Major(s) Preferred: Data Science, Engineering, Transportation, City, Regional, or Urban Planning, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Interdisciplinary Studies, or a related field
