DIR - ENGINEERING/PLANT OPS

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is the premier provider of specialized behavioral health and addictive disease services in San Antonio and South Texas. The Plant Operations and Environment of Care Director ensures the maintenance of a safe, clean, and healthy environment for patients, staff, and guests while managing departmental budgets and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
Develops, writes, and implements departmental policies and procedures
Develops, writes and implements quarterly training for staff
Ensures customer satisfaction to all patients, visitors, and staff
As Safety Officer, develops, writes and implements plant operations program that is reported to Safety Committee
Covers work areas as needed
Maintains Computerized Maintenance Management
Meets Roof Maintenance Standards
Meets Building Maintenance Program for Life Safety
Meets TJC Emergency Preparedness Standards
Meets Infrastructure Assessment Standards
Proficient in Long-range Capital Planning
Proficient in Disaster Planning, Recovery and Mitigation
Meets Medical Equipment Maintenance Standards
Proficient in Inventory Management
Maintains, controls, supervises all aspects of central supply, purchasing, and mailroom

Required

Knowledge in maintenance practices
Knowledge of departmental & personnel policies and procedures
Knowledge of fire and safety code
Knowledge of JCAHO requirements
Knowledge of state and federal regulations as it relates to plant operations
Broad knowledge of plant technology and engineering
Skills in the operation of cleaning and maintenance equipment
Ability to plan, organize, and conduct maintenance processes in a timely manner
Compliance with Laurel Ridge safety and loss control policies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
College graduate; preferably with Facility Engineering Degree or work experience equivalent
Valid Class C driver license; clean driving record
Minimum of 5 years in general plant operation/engineering and building construction
Supervisor experience required
