Internal Audit and Financial Advisory interns work with Protiviti’s clients, who are typically among the world’s leading companies
As an intern, you collaborate with the team to deliver client solutions for complex business problems these organizations face

Internal Audit and Financial Advisory interns are hired into one of the three areas, including: Business Process Audit and Advisory, Technology Audit and Advisory, Internal Audit Strategy and Technology Enablement
Helps companies become more innovative and explore their business processes, identify and mitigate emerging risks, develop creative solutions to complex business challenges, and encourage best practices to enhance business functions
Helps companies evaluate their ability to protect information assets through testing and evaluating current company processes
Focuses on defining, designing, developing, testing, and deploying technical solutions that drive increased effectiveness and efficiencies in audit, risk, control, and compliance domains

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related fields)
All applicants applying for U.S. job openings need authorization to work in the United States for Protiviti without sponsorship now or in the future
Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship
Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (i.e. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.)
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking skills and innovation to client engagements across various industries
Technical proficiency aligning to assigned capability area

Preferred

Working in teams, as well as independently
Being creative and analytical to assist in problem solving
Passionate about evaluating, synthesizing, organizing, and interpreting data and information
Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development
Desiring to learn and a receptiveness to feedback and mentoring
Drive towards obtaining professional certifications and a strong academic background
Understanding of internal audit processes, including the use of emerging technologies, understanding frameworks, and achieving audit objectives
Handling and analyzing data and information in various formats to uncover valuable insights and draw actionable conclusions
Experience with modern tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
Entry-level proficiency of software development, best practices and methodologies
Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies (e.g., Alteryx, MS Power Platform, Python)
