Drawback Consultant

As a Drawback Consultant, you will manage customer drawback programs, ensuring compliance and filing accurate claims while maintaining strong communication with clients and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities
Analyze, format and verify all data to process accurate and complete drawback claims and maintenance of those documents
Maintain clear and complete notes of any nuances or peculiarities related to the customer’s data, product identification codes, set or bills of material, claims or methodology for managing the account
Understand customer’s duty recovery and service level expectations
Escalate customer, data and claim issues and delays to Department Manager as appropriate
Maintain a “customer-centric” approach: routine updates of claim submissions or data issues that might delay claim submissions. Over-communication verses under-communication
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree or equivalent
Knowledge of CBP compliance and drawback rules & regulations
Prior work experience in an international trade compliance and/or Customs environment
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
Superior technical and computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Access)
Detail-oriented with a pro-active and team-player attitude
Ability to multitask and high attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
