Responsibilities

The SA provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems

The SA manages IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc

The SA provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems

The SA provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers

The SA provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process

The SA configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance

Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning

Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required

Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree

Mid. Level: Ten (10) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the federal Government is required

Senior Level: Fifteen (15) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required

Configuration and Maintenance of Virtual Machines

VCenter/VMWare

AWS Experience

VPC, EC2, S3

Linux and Windows operating systems

CentOS, RedHat, Windows 10, Window Server

DNS Experience

Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, bash, etc.)

Ansible Playbooks

Jenkins – Continuous Integration /Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

OS and Software application patching (e.g. IAVA, Version updates)

Excellent communications skills

Working with the ISSE and the accreditation of the system, handling Service desk tickets and heading up the Global searches system
