Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to deliver client solutions for complex business problems
Participate in Liftoff with Protiviti, an onboarding live-virtual experience
Attend The Intern Challenge, an experiential learning course that will help you transition into your role as an intern
Work across various industries and engage in internal initiatives
Receive hands-on training in a nurturing environment and interact with leaders across the practice
Participate in committees, employee network groups, and social, civic, and networking activities
Assist in Business Process Audit and Advisory by helping companies become more innovative and explore their business processes
Assist in Technology Audit and Advisory by evaluating companies' ability to protect information assets
Focus on defining, designing, developing, testing, and deploying technical solutions in Internal Audit Strategy and Technology Enablement

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related fields)

Must be within one year of final graduation at the time of internship
Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (i.e. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI, etc.)
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Ability to apply critical thinking skills and innovation to client engagements across various industries
Technical proficiency aligning to assigned capability area

Preferred

Working in teams, as well as independently
Being creative and analytical to assist in problem solving
Passionate about evaluating, synthesizing, organizing, and interpreting data and information
Ability to self-motivate and take responsibility for personal growth and development
Desiring to learn and a receptiveness to feedback and mentoring
Drive towards obtaining professional certifications and a strong academic background
Understanding of internal audit processes, including the use of emerging technologies, understanding frameworks, and achieving audit objectives
Handling and analyzing data and information in various formats to uncover valuable insights and draw actionable conclusions
Experience with modern tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau
Entry-level proficiency of software development, best practices and methodologies
Interest in advanced analytics and automation technologies (e.g., Alteryx, MS Power Platform, Python)
