The Category Management Intern will support key initiatives in product assortment, pricing, and space optimization, while gaining hands-on experience in analyzing category performance and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze category and product performance to identify sales trends and opportunities for growth

Support assortment and pricing strategy by reviewing market data, competitive benchmarks, and shopper insights

Develop and maintain category performance dashboards and KPI tracking reports

Assist in the preparation of category reviews and business presentations for leadership and vendor partners

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Pricing, Planning, and Space Analytics to execute category initiatives

Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency

Use analytics tools and systems to collect, organize, and interpret data for actionable insights

Required

Currently enrolled in sophomore or junior year and pursuing a BA/BS in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights and business recommendations

Intermediate proficiency in Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs); experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly

Proactive, curious learner able to work both independently and collaboratively
