The Post-Paint Assistant is responsible for packaging orders according to work order instructions and established procedures, ensuring the safe handling and transit of customer products.
Responsibilities
Read and understand work order requirements
Identify parts with printed and/or electronic pictures
Un-rack, un-mask, and solvent-clean parts, when required, prior to packaging and shipping
Package parts in accordance with Sonaca’s procedures and work order instructions
Operate pallet jacks and forklift, with appropriate certification
Operate weight scales to verify quantities. Keep packaging and shipping areas clean and organized per company Ultraclean/6S requirements
Observe safety requirements and use all required safety equipment
Handles customer-supplied product with care
Maintain and reinforce Sonaca’s quality standards to meet and exceed customer expectations
Available to work overtime when required, including weekends
Perform other duties as assigned by the Paint/Shipping Supervisor or trainer
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or High School Equivalency required
Ability to read and comprehend American English is required
Must attain proficiency in using the Sonaca's Work Order Tracking Program
Application of basic math skills is required
Ability to follow written and verbal directions is required
Attention to detail is required
Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required
Preferred
Previous experience in packaging and shipping is desired
