Responsibilities
Under the direction and supervision of a registered pharmacist, a pharmacy intern with a valid NYS intern permit may perform the functions of a pharmacy intern
These functions include preparing, compounding, and dispensing prescriptions and medications for patients of Highland Hospital (Neonate, Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric) in accordance with all applicable departmental policies and procedures as well as all state and federal laws and regulations for pharmacy practice
Qualification
Required
Matriculated pharmacy student in an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
Valid NYS Pharmacy Intern permit within 90 days of the date of hire
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Independent judgment and decision making
