Responsibilities
Maintain all billing accounts and records
Serve as the primary point of contact for parent inquiries related to billing and payments, providing timely and professional responses
Proactively communicate with families to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain positive financial relationships
Manage collections by assisting with delinquent accounts and negotiating payment arrangements with families
Record and reconcile payments
Produce tuition billing and accounts receivable reports for management review
Record and reconcile payments and activity in program software
Process bank deposits using remote deposit service
Record tuition refund insurance premiums
Calculate, record and submit tuition refund insurance claims to appropriate agency
Assist with month end close including account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries
Research budget to actual cost variances
Provide reconciliations and other assistance as needed for annual audit
Recommend and draft policies and procedures related to job processes
Cross-train designated business office staff to provide support as needed
Maintain expertise in subject matter through professional development
Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller and assist with special project
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance
Able to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
Capable of contributing in a team environment
Able to communicate effectively, both written and oral, with all constituents in a school environment
Must demonstrate competency with basic word processing, spreadsheet, database and internet functions
Able to use basic office equipment
