Responsibilities
Partner closely with engineering leadership to translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable goals for their respective organizations
Play a pivotal role in shaping their strategic direction and operational excellence, balancing big-picture vision with hands-on operational execution
Drive and coordinate the rhythm of business activities, including team town halls, planning cycles, OKR reviews, and leadership off-sites
Apply deep program management expertise to clearly define workstreams, establish precise milestones, and ensure all project activities are appropriately assigned and meticulously tracked to guarantee successful delivery
Act as a critical bridge between engineering leadership and key stakeholders across Product, People, Finance, and Legal
Coordinate and track strategic projects that cut across multiple teams, ensuring seamless coordination and clear communication across all stakeholders
Design and optimize workflows, tooling, and best practices for Engineering leads
Build and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into engineering health metrics, such as velocity, quality, reliability, and cost
Prepare and deliver crisp narratives, dashboards, and pre-reads for the engineering leadership
Support engineering leadership talent planning and reinforcing a strong, inclusive culture
Facilitate leads to function as a unified team, helping to surface and resolve friction before it slows progress
Identify and manage program risks through rigorous risk assessments, proactively surfacing prioritization and tradeoff decisions
Manage and track budgets for engineering organizations, meticulously understanding where costs are allocated which includes analyzing variances, forecasting expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization to ensure financial discipline
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in program or technical program management within strategy and operations, including a minimum of 3 years directly partnering with an engineering organization
A history of driving significant operational improvements within high-growth technology environments, transforming challenges into streamlined processes
Experience with engineering metrics, leading productivity frameworks, and cutting-edge operational best practices
Experience establishing or enhancing technical KPIs, OKRs, or scorecards for engineering teams
Experience navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments, consistently demonstrating a proactive bias for action and a dedication to continuous improvement
Experience leading and refining rhythm of business activities, encompassing planning cycles, leadership reviews, and comprehensive reporting to foster an efficient operational cadence
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Masterful communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, allowing you to adeptly influence without authority and forge strong alignment across your organization
An advanced degree or MBA
Robust technical and analytical skills, with a proven ability to distill complex data into strategic, actionable insights for senior leaders
Hands-on experience leveraging data visualization and business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI to drive insights at scale
Experience in management consulting, strategic operations, or technical operations is highly valued
Demonstrated comfort and effectiveness in collaborating with and presenting to senior leadership
Familiarity with modern Agile, Lean, or scaled delivery methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum@Scale)
