Staff Workforce Analyst

Responsibilities
Drive the strategic direction of Guardant’s workforce analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organizational goals
Shape and advance the company’s workforce analytics strategy, designing frameworks for scalable, repeatable insights
Represent Workforce Analytics in executive discussions, influencing decision-making through evidence-based insights and data storytelling
Lead advanced analyses on workforce dynamics including demographics, performance, engagement, attrition, and organizational trends
Develop and oversee predictive and statistical models to anticipate workforce risks and opportunities
Build and scale dashboards, reports, and data products that empower senior leaders and People partners to make informed decisions
Partner across People (e.g., People BPs, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Leadership Development) and with business leaders to identify critical workforce questions and deliver insights that address key “moments that matter.”
Engage cross-functionally to align analytics solutions with business strategies and cultural goals
Influence senior leadership by synthesizing data into compelling narratives that drive clarity and action
Establish best practices and scalable frameworks to strengthen the overall analytics function and foster data literacy across People
Champion innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging analytics tools, AI-driven insights, and predictive modeling approaches
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance across systems and analytics workflows
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance data integration and workforce planning efficiency
Maintain high standards of confidentiality, data governance, and ethical analytics practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business Administration, HR, or related field required (or equivalent experience)
7+ years in workforce analytics, People analytics, or workforce planning, with experience influencing strategy in a matrixed, high-growth environment (healthcare, biotech, or tech preferred)
Expertise in analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, Python), with hands-on experience using Workday, Power BI, and Glint — with a strong emphasis on Workday reporting, data visualization and storytelling
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable business narratives for senior audiences
Proven success in setting analytics strategy, and influencing executive decisions
Leading through influence, across cross-functional teams
Commitment to accuracy, equity, and data integrity in all analytical work
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Experience in healthcare, biotech, or tech preferred
A curiosity for emerging technologies, (particularly AI) is considered essential
