Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

Assumes responsibility for the development and implementation of effective Facilities Department policies, procedures, and planning
Assists the SVP of Retail and COO in developing short- and long-term goals and plans. Assists with budgeting and expense forecasting
Executes operational goals and ensures that branch maintenance plans support overall credit union objectives
Develops, implements, and reviews policies and procedures for facilities maintenance to ensure efficiency and consistent service delivery
Assumes responsibility for the effective operation and maintenance of all Credit Union branches
Oversees branch facility maintenance including janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, lighting, and other vendor-supported services
Manages vendor relationships and ensures regular preventive maintenance schedules are followed
Coordinates or performs minor handyman work and small-scale facility projects, such as repairs, fixture replacements, and equipment upgrades
Conducts periodic facility inspections and identifies needed repairs or improvements
Ensures branches are clean, safe, and in good working order at all times
Partners with Security to ensure proper lighting and safety measures are in place
Assumes responsibility for the effective administration of the Facilities Department
Oversees vendor and supplier contracts, obtains bids, and arranges for service agreements within approved limits
Researches and evaluates vendors to ensure quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness
Ensures that maintenance agreements and leases are current and properly documented
Ensures compliance with legal regulations, including ADA and OSHA requirements
Tracks and promptly resolves facility-related issues and requests
Serves as a Service Ambassador by displaying courtesy and attentiveness to help internal teams, vendors, and contractors feel valued
Serves as the liaison between CPM and its vendors for all branch facility-related needs
Builds and maintains productive relationships with suppliers, ensuring prompt and professional service
Supports and protects the Credit Union’s reputation by embracing its Mission, Vision, and Core Values
Assumes responsibility for communication and coordination with Credit Union staff and management
Assists and supports branch managers and other departments with maintenance and vendor needs
Keeps the SVP of Retail and COO informed of significant activities, issues, or recommendations
Completes required reports and documentation accurately and on time
Participates in management meetings and training sessions as required
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
Completes special projects and assignments as requested
Ensures work areas and facilities are secure, safe, and well maintained
Attends certified training sessions as needed

Required

Must reside in or around Upstate, SC or be willing to relocate to the Greater Greenville, SC area
High school graduate or equivalent
At least five years of related experience in facility management
Thorough understanding of purchasing policies and procedures
Familiarity with sources of vendors and suppliers
Understanding of building maintenance, repairs, and construction procedures
Knowledge of Credit Union purchasing and facility needs
Knowledge of ADA and OSHA regulations
Driver's License
Bondable
Strong planning and problem-solving skills
Well-organized and able to handle complex scheduling functions
Good supervisory abilities
Solid communication and negotiation abilities
Able to skillfully operate PC, calculator, drill, saw, snowplow, salt/sand spreader truck, and all related machinery

Preferred

Additional business course work strongly preferred
Supervisory experience very helpful
