Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Attract, retain, lead, coach, and mentor a growing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and accountability
Manage all aspects of the month-end close process across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and financial statement preparation
Manage the annual budget processes. Report results to management
In coordination with the Director of Capital Improvements, oversee capital assets
Oversee year-end audit processes including audit package preparation, responding to auditor’s questions and addressing open items to ensure a timely completion of audits and tax returns
Manage and review distribution schedules, projections, and cash flow. Coordinate with Investor Relations and others to ensure accurate and timely responses to our investors and partners
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, development, FP&A, and other departments to support business initiatives and ensure alignment on financial reporting
Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, to better operate as a cohesive team
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant GAAP standards
Support external audit activities and manage key relationships with external audit partners
Proactively identify issues, drive resolutions, and keep projects and priorities moving forward
Establish sound processes and policies as needed to ensure proper controls and efficient processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
Demonstrated experience in multi-entity accounting, preferably in a complex or growth-oriented business
Ability to function as a team leader as well as work in a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of accountability
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you build trust and collaborate well across teams
Proven track record of driving projects to completion and getting things done, even in ambiguity
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment where priorities shift quickly
Hands-on experience with accounting systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
Technical competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and general ledger applications
