They are seeking a Field Semiconductor Process Support Engineer to support the deployment, optimization, and ongoing performance of ALD systems at customer semiconductor fabs and R&D sites, combining process engineering and field service expertise.

Responsibilities

Serve as the on-site technical expert for Forge Nano ALD systems at customer semiconductor and microelectronics facilities
Support process setup, recipe optimization, and troubleshooting for ALD film deposition applications
Collaborate with Forge Nano's engineering, R&D, and applications teams to refine system performance and process reliability
Perform equipment installations, calibrations, acceptance testing, and preventive maintenance
Train customer personnel on system operation, safety, and best practices
Record and analyze process data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
Represent Forge Nano with professionalism and a strong customer service focus while traveling (~50% of the time)

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering or thin-film deposition (ALD, CVD, PVD, or similar)
Strong understanding of vacuum systems, gas delivery systems, and process control fundamentals
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both process and hardware issues in complex systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with customers
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Preferred

Hands-on experience with ALD systems and recipe development in a semiconductor fab or research environment
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and process data analysis
Prior experience in a field service, applications engineering, or customer support role
Understanding of cleanroom protocols and EHS standards for semiconductor manufacturing
