Responsibilities

Support multiple sectors, including mining, oil and gas, and rail
Responsible for the development and planning of hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, watershed evaluations, and earthwork site design, as well as permit/construction-level drawings and details
Apply technical knowledge to support a range of environmental projects
Prepare technical specifications and report writing for civil and environmental permitting
Plan, design, and oversee industrial solid waste landfills, wastewater collection and treatment systems and impoundments, channels, levees, drainage systems, stormwater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, roads, and other civil/environmental aspects of infrastructure
Interface directly with clients and contractors and manage all aspects of project delivery utilizing Arcadis resources
Assist in the field with construction and inspections

Qualification

Civil Engineering DegreeRegistered Professional EngineerAutoCAD Civil 3DHydrologic/Hydraulic ModelingErosionSediment ControlLand Development ExperienceMentoring Junior StaffClient Interaction

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Registered Professional Engineer, and willingness to obtain reciprocity in western states such as Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona
7+ years of related experience
Ability to work independently and to mentor junior staff

Preferred

Prior experience supporting mining, utilities, rail, or pipeline protection projects and coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines
Prior experience in land development such as site layout, stormwater management, grading, and erosion and sedimentation controls
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, HEC-RAS)
Understanding of land development, erosion and sediment controls, road design (particularly Haul Roads and Forest Service Roads), river restoration, and stormwater permitting
