Responsibilities
Directs a comprehensive hardware product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life
Functions as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their life-cycle
Formulates and executes long-term road-maps for cost/profit control
Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends
Directs and leads those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products
Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a products life-cycle including modifications, upgrades, and maintenance of the product or product line

Required
Project methodology
Experience working within a fast-paced, dynamic marketing organization
Cellular phone HW system knowledge
Understanding of handset RF subsystem
Understanding of baseband peripherals and interfaces
8 years handset analog design experience preferred
Team player with a 'can do' attitude
Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills
Interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to evaluate and analyze objectively
Communication, language, writing and editing skills
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to work independently while having strong interpersonal skills to work on cross-functional teams
Familiar with business decision making and processes
8+ years of experience working on or supporting design and development of hardware platforms
8+ years product management or related experience
Capacity to adapt to evolving environments
Experience with development and production of mobile platforms
Understanding of cellular technologies and standards
Experience managing change in a deadline based environment
Ability to communicate, educate, evangelize both internally and externally
Demonstrated leadership skills with cross functional teams
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field
8+ years of Product Management or related work experience
Preferred
15+ years of Product Management or related work experience
4+ years of working in a large matrixed organization
2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials
2+ years of negotiating 3rd party business agreements
